24 Jul Hurricane Kits Are Ready for Seniors
BEAM has teamed up with Humana to provide over 80 seniors in the Beaches area with emergency supplies and food in preparation for hurricane season. The hurricane kits contain a 5-day supply of nonperishable food items for each family member, 9 bottles of water, a first-aid kit, a lantern, a radio, batteries, a non-electric can opener, face masks, and alcohol sanitizing wipes. Every senior enrolled in the BEAM Senior Services Program will receive these hand-delivered bags, courtesy of Humana and BEAM volunteers. Humana team members and volunteer drivers will be delivering the kits to senior clients today! Thank you, Humana for partnering with us to serve our Senior clients!
