That’s a great question—and honestly, we’re grateful for both food and financial donations. But right now, following the government shutdown, we have limited capacity to handle large food donations, and financial gifts go the furthest. They help us quickly restock what’s needed most and take advantage of bulk pricing through our suppliers, so we can serve more families fast.

But, we know the power of our community coming together to feed others. If your heart leads you to give food, we’re grateful—every donation helps nourish a neighbor in need.

PLEASE NOTE: We are finding many canned items that are being delivered to us are arriving dented to the extent that we are unable to use them. If you are ordering food or hygiene supplies for delivery to us, we need the following items and they seem to arrive in better shape: Cereal, boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing, cereal bars, and hygiene items.

No, food donations are welcome and accepted any time of the year.  BEAM provides food assistance year-round, so there's always a need for donations.

Registering with BEAM to collect food is not necessary.

Any nonperishable items are welcome, including nonfood items (soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.).  We ask that all items be unopened and not expired more than two months.

Our greatest needs right now are canned soups, ready-to-eat meals, and cereal.

Donations can be dropped off at 318 7th Avenue North in Jax Beach between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday – Saturday. No need to notify us in advance, unless it’s an extremely large quantity.

For large donations (more than what fits in two vehicles), we may be able to arrange a pickup. However, with our food operations stretched beyond capacity due to the food stamp moratorium, we kindly ask that you drop donations off if possible.
