Fighting Food Insecurity at the Beaches
In partnership with local retailers, BEAM collects surplus food which would otherwise be discarded. The items are brought to our warehouse, sorted, quality-checked, and redistributed to our pantries and other food distribution sites.
Volunteers help pick up food in our refrigerated truck, sort food at our warehouse, and pack food for distribution. The Food Bank supplies BEAM’s two food pantries, several mobile food pantries, and other food distribution efforts. Local organizations such as churches and community programs that distribute food assistance may be eligible to source food for their programs from our Food Bank by becoming an affiliate of Feeding Northeast Florida.
