Why the Schantz family is planning for BEAM’s future
Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM) has grown over 35 years to encompass both emergency help for its clients and also services to help them find paths to economic stability. Its success has been possible only through the support of an enduring and growing community of committed donors.
Some of those donors have expressed an interest in investing in BEAM’s long-term sustainability through endowment gifts and bequests. And the BEAM board has recognized the value of having diversified sources of revenue for its operations.
The result: The BEAM Endowment Fund was established at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, a permanent fund that will provide income each year for BEAM’s operations.
How it works:
Gifts are made to the BEAM Endowment Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, 245 Riverside Avenue, Suite 310, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
The funds are managed by The Community Foundation with periodic distributions to BEAM.
Gifts are irrevocable and unconditional, thus providing a reliable and growing future revenue stream to sustain BEAM’s ability to accomplish its mission.
Why make an endowment gift:
You want to be a part of BEAM’s future, assuring its service to the Beaches community will endure.
You want to build a strong Beaches community that can provide its residents and workers emergency assistance when it’s needed and guidance along a path toward economic well-being.
You know an endowment fund empowers an organization’s stability and sustainability.
You understand the need for annual contributions to BEAM’s operating budget, while also understanding the importance of those special “over and above” gifts for the Endowment Fund.
Endowment Fund Goals:
500,000 in community gifts by December 31, 2022.0%
$1,000,000 fund balance by December 31, 2025.0%
