With Eviction Cases on the Rise, BEAM Is Keeping Our Neighbors in Their Homes

For nearly 40 years, BEAM has provided rent and utility payments on behalf of those who live or work at the beach and are at immediate risk of eviction. Requests for emergency assistance to prevent homelessness peaked in 2020, the number of households needing assistance remains at historic levels, and the amount of the payments needed rose 150%. BEAM is grateful to The Eckstein Foundation, The Jim Moran Foundation, The Women’s Giving Alliance, United Way, Delores Barr Weaver, and more individuals than can be mentioned who support BEAM’s efforts to keep our neighbors in their homes and assure food in the cupboards.
