BEAM Recruits for Executive Director

BEAM Recruits for Executive Director

Lori Richards, who has served as Executive Director of BEAM since 2017, has announced her plan to retire at the end of 2023. Under her leadership, we have expanded services in the Mayport area, added Senior Case Management services, and weathered the pandemic with increased support for low-income workers and those facing food insecurity.

“I’m very proud of the work we do at BEAM and incredibly honored by the support our community offers for our work.” Richards shared. “The incredible volunteer corps and amazing staff are the most caring, dedicated, and compassionate people. It will be hard to say goodbye”.

Doug Edwards, Board Chair, shares that the Executive Transition Committee has created a timeline that will allow adequate time to recruit, interview, and hire a qualified candidate prior to Richards’ departure. The Committee is accepting resumes now through June in anticipation of selecting a candidate by late summer.
