We continue to see a rise in positive cases and our neighbors are still feeling the financial effects
of COVID-19.

In June, we assisted more than 235 families with emergency financial assistance needs and we are on track to help the same number of households this month.

From April to June, we have protected 714 local families from experiencing homelessness, a 270% increase over last year.

BEAM launched the Keep Their Homes Campaign inspiring many supporters to help cover rent and utility bill payments for beaches area families. To support this important work and BEAM’s other integral emergency assistance and case management programs, please click here

Back to School with BEAM Update:

In the past, we have worked with hundreds of volunteers to pull off a comprehensive back to school “shopping experience” for those in need in the beaches area. Last year, we outfitted more than 600 children with new school supplies, books, clothing and snacks in less than four hours.

We are continuing to adhere to recommendations from the CDC, Florida Department of Health and local authorities, and we will not be able to host a large group gathering like we have in the past.

However, we are committed to put on our first ever “drive thru” Back to School with BEAM in partnership with Neptune Baptist Church on Saturday, August 1 from 8 am – 12 pm.

All attendees will be asked to stay in their vehicles and tents will be stationed around the parameter of the church. Volunteers wearing masks and gloves will load school supplies, backpacks, books, undergarments and clothing/shoe vouchers directly into families’ cars.
