11 Dec BEAM Provides 900 Thanksgiving Baskets to Beaches Families
According to a recent report by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, there has been a significant increase in hunger in the country. Approximately 44.2 million people are living in households that struggle to get enough food, making it difficult for them to put three meals on the table every day.
To address this issue, BEAM, in partnership with St Vincent de Paul-Beaches, aimed to help families facing food insecurity by providing 800 Thanksgiving meals to those in need. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Thanksgiving Basket Program exceeded its goals and provided 900 Thanksgiving meals this holiday season. BEAM’s vision is to create a future where no Beaches resident goes hungry or is haunted by the fear of eviction. It is only with the support of our local community that we can continue to make a difference.
